Today’s prompt word was KNOT, so I decided to walk to the reservoir and see if I could find any knots on the boats in the Sailing Club grounds. I couldn’t get into the grounds of the Sailing Club, but I was able to get a few shots on the pathway around the reservoir and into the Sailing Club ‘old boat area’.
These are the shots from today:
A knotted part of the fence, grown over with green, mossy ‘stuff’….
“I can look at the knot in a piece of wood until it frightens me.”
~William Blake
(I think I know what he means….
)
A piece of metal rope knotted through the fence…
The flagpole outside the Yacht Club building had a really funky rope knotted around the pole…
One of the old boats – still full of Autumn leaves – had ‘almost knotty’ rope lying around…
And then proper knots on this sailing boat…
Last, but not least, this old back gate, obviously not used, and covered with knotted ivy growing all over it.
All in all, a freezing, FREEZING cold, but very successful knotty outing.
